One innovation, the HELIXCHANGER^® helically baffled heat exchanger, is currently applied in more than 1,800 applications. Quadrant-shaped segment baffle plates are positioned at an angle to the tube axis in a sequential arrangement to guide the shellside flow into a helical pattern. The result is reduced capital cost and life cycle cost, improved thermal effectiveness, enhanced heat transfer, reduced pressure drop, lower fouling and significantly reduced vibration hazards.
