specializes in lump-sum, turnkey engineering, procurement and construction of process systems for customers in the refining, petrochemical and natural gas industries. We were founded in 1947 and became part of the CB&I team of companies in December 2000.
Our capabilities cover the entire
hydrocarbon processing
spectrum, from separations technology for upstream extraction, to downstream refining, synthesis gas production and gas-to-liquids processing. Our customers have included nearly every major oil producing and refining company in the world, and many bring us repeat business.
Proven processing experience. We’ve delivered thousands of projects in more than 65 countries, including facilities for oil production, gas processing, crude oil refining, hydrogen generation and purification, and synthesis gas production. Natural gas processing plants and hydrogen plants have long been a key focus of our company.
A culture of innovation. Our name is associated with numerous process technology innovations. Our proprietary technologies include our HYFORMING ® steam methane reforming (SMR) technology, our nitrogen rejection units for natural gas processing, synthesis gas production systems and turbine fuel treating systems.
Flexibility in design, fabrication and construction. We execute projects using both modular and conventional “stick-built” construction. We evaluate each project to determine which option provides the best value for our customer.
Modular process modules are built and assembled at our in-house fabrication facilities and can be shipped virtually anywhere in the world for field installation. Modular construction benefits the customer in several ways. Minimizing the field work reduces potential weather delays and the impact of activities at our customer’s site. Fabricating the components in-house allows for more stringent quality control, shorter project schedules and reduced costs. Another advantage of modular construction is that various aspects of the project—such as permitting, fabrication and shipping arrangements—can be accomplished concurrently, compressing the project schedule.
