CB&I is a leading designer of topsides and processing equipment for offshore oil and gas platforms. Over the years we have designed more than 40 platform topsides ranging in weight from 500 to 30,000 tons.

Our topsides have provided years of safe and reliable operation in a variety of climate, water and reservoir conditions. We've designed platforms for service in the North Sea and off the coasts of Australia, North America, southern Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

We provide conceptual design, front-end engineering and design, detailed engineering, procurement, installation and construction management services for all types of topsides, including normally unattended installations (NUI); wellhead, compression and high-pressure/high-temperature (HP/HT) platforms; and integrated decks.

Our breadth of expertise. We provide design-build services for the full range of offshore oil and gas production, processing and storage projects, so we understand our customers' business and how our projects affect their other operations. The scope of our platform projects has varied from designing topsides for single and multiple platforms, to providing topsides, jackets, subsea facilities, tie-ins and other associated components.

A key to our success in the offshore oil and gas industry is our global presence. We maintain a worldwide network of in-house engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction facilities. We can draw upon these resources to quickly mobilize the people, equipment and materials needed for any project, anywhere. Our people provide the localized expertise needed to address the regulatory, cultural and environmental issues associated with international offshore projects.

Better, more cost-effective designs. We've earned a reputation for developing innovative designs that reduce the cost of fabricating, building and operating topsides without compromising safety or productivity. We've developed designs for lighter platforms; smaller, remote-controlled platforms; and platforms for recovery in small fields. Every topsides project we undertake is different, and we work closely with our customers to develop topsides that accommodate their specific requirements.

Safety is our foremost concern when designing platform topsides. Every one of our topsides is designed with redundant safety features, such as multiple escape methods, and provides safe operation around the clock in the most challenging environments.

Over the years, we've honed our internal design and work processes to reduce our customers' development, capital and operating costs and shorten project schedules.
