CB&I offers design and construction services for import and export terminals that handle a wide variety of liquid products, including crude oil, refined products and bulk fuels. Utilizing our network of engineering, procurement and construction resources, we have successfully executed terminal projects in some of the most geographically and logistically challenging places in the world.

We can provide single-point responsibility for both greenfield projects and expansions of any size. We offer a full range of services that include feasibility studies, conceptual design, terminal siting and environmental investigation, detailed design, permitting, procurement, construction and construction management, operator training, startup and commissioning.

We execute many terminal projects on a lump-sum, turnkey basis. By providing single-point responsibility, we can better control costs and schedules, ensure project quality and minimize our customer's risk. Project oversight is simplified, so our customers have more time to focus on their core business operations.

Utilizing our worldwide resources. Our integrated approach is successful because we have an established network of engineering, procurement and fabrication resources. With locations worldwide, we have people who understand the political and regulatory issues of the communities where we work and can quickly solve problems. Our international procurement offices identify qualified suppliers, inspect their products and materials, and ensure prompt delivery of products to the job site. Our fully equipped fabrication shops provide high-quality components for our projects; for larger and more complex projects, we may establish field fabrication facilities. We have specialized construction crews around the world, and we direct-hire and train local labor whenever possible.

Our capabilities cover the full scope of terminal facilities, including marine jetties, loading and unloading systems, storage tanks, foundations, pumping facilities, fire/hazard detection and protection, communication and security systems, process controls, piping systems and power distribution. In addition, we have extensive experience in permitting and siting and can assist our customers with the permitting process.

Delivering quality and safety. No matter where our projects are located, we design and build them in strict compliance with federal and local regulations. We participate in more than two dozen international code committees, and our company-wide technical standards meet or, in many cases, exceed industry standards. We also provide comprehensive safety training for our work crews around the world, an initiative that has earned us one of the best safety records in the industry.
