Gas Conditioning and Treating / CO2 Removal

Randall Gas Technologies, a division of Lummus Technology, a CB&I company, has extensive gas conditioning and treating capabilities, including the removal of CO2 from gas streams, using third party technologies.

  • Amines: Randall has completed more than 100 gas conditioning and treating systems, most of which were gas processing facilities. Gas feed rates range from 10 to 500 MMSCFD and amine circulation rates to 1,200 GPM. Amines used include MEA, MDEA, DGA, DEA and enhanced MDEA.
  • Molecular Sieve: Randall has also completed more than 200 molecular sieve dehydration systems for the purpose of conditioning and treating gas. Molecular sieve units have also been used to remove trace amounts of H2S, mercaptans, and CO2.
  • Membranes: Lummus Technology and Membrane Technology and Research have an alliance for the technical and commercial development of membrane systems for gas processing and treating applications. Applications include gas dehydration, hydrocarbon dew point control, NGL separation, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and hydrogen sulfide removal, and fuel gas conditioning. The membrane used for CO2 removal offers exceptional performance in the essential design areas of flux and selectivity. MTR is the only manufacturer of a membrane for nitrogen removal.
