For more than half a century, CB&I has provided design and construction management services for hundreds of pipeline projects around the world. Our experience includes cross-country and subsea pipelines to transport crude oil, natural gas, LPG, LNG and a variety of other products. We've been involved with single-phase and multiphase flow pipelines ranging in diameter from 3 inches (75millimeters) to 5 feet (1,500millimeters).

We provide a broad range of services for pipeline projects, including conceptual and field development studies; economic and environmental impact evaluations; front-end engineering design; detail engineering; procurement; project and construction management; and commissioning. In addition, we design and build associated onshore and offshore facilities and systems, such as compression and pumping stations; in-field flow and gathering lines; storage and marine terminals; and offshore platforms.

Providing localized knowledge. With more than 40 offices worldwide, our operations are locally based. We have the resources to design and manage pipeline projects virtually anywhere, even under the most challenging conditions. Our people provide invaluable expertise regarding local business practices and politics, front-end permitting, and labor and regulatory issues. We are experienced in coordinating large, complex projects that involve multiple countries and diverse terrains.

Subsea pipeline projects present special challenges. With more than 30 years' experience serving the offshore oil and gas industry, we've developed in-depth expertise in designing for and managing underwater construction. We've successfully completed pipeline projects in deep and ultra-deep water, in a variety of seismic, water and scour conditions. We've developed innovative processes and designs that, in many cases, make pipeline construction faster and more cost-effective.

Using state-of-the art tools. Our project teams share best practices and use proven tools and technologies to deliver safe and superior results. We use more than 100 software programs to facilitate the design and management of pipeline and facilities projects. We've received industry recognition for our innovative use of geographic information system (GIS) software to analyze a variety of pipeline project data.
