In 2008, we completed the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of 4 liquefied petroleum gas tanks in Ruwais, 2 for propane storage and 2 for butane. Each tank has an 83,600 cubic meter capacity for storing large quantities of LPG products to increase the LPG production and export capacity of the UAE. LPG is commonly used for fuel, heating and increasingly, as an environmentally-friendly aerosol propellant. CB&I has worked in the Middle East since 1939.
