LNG
Terminal Expansion
In the United States, demand for natural gas is outpacing domestic supplies. This factor has prompted
owners of existing LNG import terminals to undertake major expansions of
their facilities. In 2003, Southern LNG Inc. awarded the company a lump-sum
turnkey contract to expand its Georgia import terminal. CB&I’s
work scope includes an increase in storage and send-out capacity; two ship
unloading stations; and related civil, mechanical, electrical and insulation
works.
